“What’s Up is Down”

Things are not always as they appear, and not all facts are reliable, so verify the source before trusting the content!

In the 1960’s CBS anchorman Walter Cronkite who became known as “the most trusted man in America” delivered the day’s news in 30 mins. Today the news is available all day long every day and newsworthiness, content, and accuracy have fallen victim to ratings and the culture wars. The dissemination of information has been sensationalized to the extent that opinion has become the primary influencer driving both content and human perception. As consumers of information we find ourselves in the unenviable position of having to sift through mountains of conjecture to find reality. This tedious and exhausting process is driving people to their ideological corners, compromising objectivity, and subverting the truth.
